We booked a family suite with balcony in the same block as the main onsen facilities - and it was amazing. A huge space with a table/dining area (low level), a couple of armchairs and table and two large comfy beds. I think that they are made up with extra beds/futons to take 4 people if necessary. The balcony wrapped around the space and looked over the village/town/parks and over the water. The room had nice touches like a water heater for tea, loose leaf tea and a teapot and cups and some welcoming sweets. The toilet space is small compared to the overall space but it's more than adequate and separate from the bathroom. The hotel is spread across three blocks with interconnecting walkways which I understand may not suit everyone but the lifts are efficient and it's easy to move around. The onsens (inside and outside) were lovely, had great views and everything you need including kimonos, towels and toiletries.

The staff far exceeded expectations by coming out to greet us as we drove in and coming out to wave goodbye as we departed. That alone makes us want to stay there again. Our room was very spacious and comfortable, and the onsen baths were very nice as well. We didn’t eat there, so can’t vouch for that one way or another. It was very quiet when we were there midweek.

Robert

Yes, it is a bit dated, but in a wonderful way. Beautiful views from our balcony, very friendly and helpful staff, large onsens, good breakfast ( we had buffet one day, set Japanese breakfast the next day). Our triple room was very large with bath, fridge, sitting area, yukatas in several sizes.

Charlotte

Great location in Hirado, we had a room with a view which was stunning. The room was big and comfortable and the onsen was great. Staff were lovely and very helpful and the Japanese-breakfast was amazing

Ewa

Super accommodating staff, great value, very clean, and it looks quite fancy! All necessary amenities provided, including a yukata to go to the bath (with an outdoor view of the castle!!!)
